Room9
Jora steps through the door and sees himself staring back. As the others enter they are reflected in the opposite wall whose entire surface is mirrored.
The effect is dizzying as their reflections multiply to infinity. The only breaks in the illusion are the massive doors in each wall.
The walls to right and left are also mirrored, reflecting an infinity of Joras, Lamias, Safirs, and Conrads.
There are two doors in the room. A yellow door stands opposite a white door on the far wall.
In the center of the room, somehow not reflected by the mirrors on the walls, stand a pair of mirrors.
In the black mirror, Lamia holds a bucket of paint which she slathers on the mirrors.
In the white mirror, the friends attack the mirrored walls with their weapons, shattering them.
“What is it with this place and mirrors?” Lamia is running out of patience with the games of this trap.
“Maybe the wizard was vain,” Jora suggests.
“What’s this?” Safir picks up a dusty scroll that sits against the base of the white mirror.
Jora takes the scroll and unrolls it. He clears his throat and reads.
Much pain and death have brought me to this point. I know now that freedom is near. The wizard taunted me that once I see myself repeated to infinity my freedom will be near, but there is a price. If I make any wrong choice now, I will be trapped forever. Only the correct choices will win my freedom. I pray the Gods lead me correctly.
Kintal of Wetherly
He hands it to Lamia who stares intently at something written in the corner. “The date in the corner is over three hundred years ago. I wonder if he made it?”
What choice should the adventurers make?
