Room13
Beyond the green door lies darkness. No light penetrates this room nor is it gently lit from an unseen source like so many of the other rooms.
“I am not going into a pitch-black room,” Lamia says.
Somehow against the darkness, two mirrors are visible an arm’s length from the door.
The black mirror shows Jora striking flint over a torch lying at his feet.
In the white mirror, they see themselves wandering, hands outstretched through the darkness.
“I can do that. Jora will keep us safe,” Safir says.
“Can anyone see another door?” Conrad leans through the opening and strains his eyes attempting to penetrate the darkness.
“Look, we can see the mirrors,” Jora says. “We can try them from the doorway. Unless you all want to just turn around?”
The green door through which they entered is a known exit but what else waits in the darkness? Is there another door awaiting the presence of light to become apparent? Could the way to freedom be hidden by the darkness? What should they do?
What choice should the adventurers make?
